After twenty years in graphic design and animation, in 2012 I refocused on my first love of painting, . I primarily concentrate on the human figure, potraiture, and abstracted florals with a leaning towards an expressionist, confident and textured approach

I am based in Auckland, New Zealand where I share my house with one husband and two daughters

i paint full time from a studio on the main street in Devonport, and have had five solo shows, and appeared in multiple group shows.

Art Classes from a working studio

From time to time I offer small, hands on art classes from my studio in central Devonport, which typically run over seven or eight weeks, 2.5 hours, one day a week. A maximum of three students ensures a session bespoke to the individual's experience level. Currently the class is learning to fracture and distort realism in a few novel and interesring ways. Typically we work in charcoal, oil paint and collage. Acrylics can be discussed depending on the topic. My next class is full, but will be a self portrait class exploring working from photos and life. The class imcorporates expressionist styles as well as realism.
